List of 12 GE crops approved in Canada
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Health Canada list over 50 crops under their category of "Plants with Novel Traits" and "Novel Foods" but not all of these are products of genetic engineering and most of these are varieites of just a few crops. Furthermore, many GE crop varieties listed are not currently on the market in Canada. See the attached list for the exact breakdown of what genetically engineered seeds farmers in Canada are growing.
